AAFS 2025
ACCESSIBILITY AT AAFS 2025
We're passionate about designing events that feel safe, inclusive, and accessible to all. We want to create the best experience for everyone attending the AAFS Scientific Conference. The following information will help you plan your AAFS experience and answer any questions you may have about accessibility at our event.
CONTACT US:
- Prior to the Conference: If you need accessibility assistance prior to the event, please contact us at meetings@aafs.org or 719-636-1100 x118.
- On-Site: On-site, stop by the registration area or speak to any AAFS staff member (look for white AAFS badges)
VENUE INFORMATION:
AAFS 2025 will take place at the Baltimore Convention Center and the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor. Both facilities comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. There are accessible elevators to all levels of the facilities as well as escalator access throughout the buildings.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY:
Each room will have designated spaces at the front of the room for wheelchairs/scooter parking. We work closely with the facility to ensure the aisle width will permit easy access to these areas.
The Baltimore Convention Center does not directly offer wheelchair or scooter rental. However, they have a number of providers who regularly support the facility. A list of providers can be found here: https://www.bccenter.org/p/about/faqs.
MOTHERS' ROOMS/NURSING ROOMS:
The Baltimore Convention Center offers two nursing locations. One station is on the 100 level in the Charles Street Lobby (near AAFS registration), and the second can be found outside BCC 341/342.
CHILDREN AT AAFS:
Due to the nature of the content presented at AAFS, we require all participants within our conference areas to be 18 years of age or older at the time of the conference. For those individuals traveling with children, we have partnered with CallEmmy to offer childcare services throughout the conference. For information about their services, you can reach out to the AAFS Team or stop by BCC 312 onsite.
We understand that there are unique situations requiring a parent or guardian to be traveling with children. If you have a concern or question about access and accommodation, please contact meetings@aafs.org or stop by the registration desk onsite to speak with a member of our Meetings team.
ACCESSIBLE HOTEL ROOMS:
All conference hotels have accessible rooms available. Please make a note when booking your room, or contact us at meetings@aafs.org for assistance in notating that on your booking.
DIETARY REQUESTS:
We make every effort to ensure our food functions accommodate all our attendees as much as possible. If you have specific dietary concerns or questions, please contact meetings@aafs.org or visit the registration desk to discuss this with a member of our Meetings team.
RESTROOM FACILITIES:
Family/all-gender restrooms are located on each level throughout the Baltimore Convention Center. All restroom facilities are fully accessible for individuals with disabilities.
FEEDBACK:
We're doing our best to make continual improvements to the accessibility of our shows, and we welcome your feedback. If we're missing something, or you'd like to share ideas for improvements, contact us at: meetings@aafs.org.
