Grant & Scholarship Opportunities

The Forensic Science Foundation (FSF) Board of Trustees approved $113,750 to fund the 2024-25 FSF grant and scholarships. Many of these opportunities are a benefit of AAFS membership and are limited solely to AAFS members and affiliates. Do not miss out on these wonderful opportunities that help to fund research and attendance at the AAFS Annual Scientific Conference.

  • Field and Lucas Research Grants — grant application due by June 15.
  • Jan S. Bashinski Criminalistics Graduate Thesis Assistance Grant — grant applications due by July 31.
  • Student Affiliate Scholarships — abstracts due by August 1.
  • Emerging Forensic Scientist Awards — abstracts due by August 1.
  • Student Travel Grants — abstracts due by August 1 and grant application due by October 15.
  • Humanitarian and Human Rights Resource Council (HHRRC) Grants — proposal due date TBD (likely November).
