Forensic Nursing Science Section: 2026 Presentation Information

Source: Jessica Volz, DNP, Section Program Chair

The 78th American Academy of Forensic Science Annual Scientific Conference will be held February 9-14, 2026, in New Orleans. The theme President Joanna Collins has chosen is "Back to Basics." We are looking forward to our section featuring high quality workshops, podium presentations, and posters. Students and members are encouraged to apply with a focus on the three core pillars forensic nursing care is built on: legal principals, forensic science, and nursing science related to trauma and health outcomes.

A collaborative session with the Engineering & Applied Sciences Section is planned, focusing on topics such as the safety of self-driving cars and child car seats. Contributions on other enticing topics are encouraged.

Please consider volunteering to be a moderator for a workshop or session to assist membership advancement within the Forensic Nursing Science Section.

Program Chair Jessica Volz (JVolz@adventisthealthcare.com) and Co-Chair Michelle Patch (mpatch1@jhmi.edu) look forward to your abstract submissions. All abstracts are due by August 1, 2025.
