Hematology Oncology Physician
Responsibilities
Hematology Oncology physician opportunities are available throughout eastern North Carolina due to expansion. ECU Health Physicians are seeking a BE/BC Fellowship trained Hematology Oncologist to join their cancer program.
Applicants should have an interest in growing a community-based general oncology practice. Experienced applicants are preferred. New graduates are welcome to apply.
- Monday-Friday 8am-5pm schedule to include half day administrative time
- Shared regional call -Established team of experienced nurses and nurse navigators
- Advance practice provider support
- Clinical responsibilities will include: developing treatment plans for new diagnosis in hematology oncology patients, chemotherapy oversight, supervising advance practice provider on follow up patients, and participation in tumor board
- Participation in a 9 -hospital system of cancer care with 5 COC accredited sites sharing a common medical record and planned COC Network
- Close collaboration with the ECU Health Cancer Care team located in Greenville, NC which includes a multidisciplinary team of specialists including radiation oncologists, hematology oncologists, surgical oncologists, gynecologic oncologist, neurological oncologist, hematology oncology fellows, and patient navigators
