New Notice of Funding Opportunity: NIJ FY25 Research and Evaluation on Drugs and Crime: Nexus With Firearms and Violence
With this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) seeks applications for funding rigorous applied research on drugs and crime to inform the development of evidence-based tools, practices, and policies for state, tribal, and local law enforcement and other criminal justice agencies that address drug trafficking, drug markets, and drug-related violence.
The FY25 NOFO research priority is firearms — the intersection of drug crimes and firearm offenses in trends, interdiction, and prosecution, and efforts to disrupt those criminal activities and related violence.
This NOFO is competitive; therefore, NIJ staff cannot have individual conversations with prospective applicants. For assistance with the requirements of this NOFO, contact the OJP Response Center by telephone at 800-851-3420 or 301-240-6310 (TTY for hearing-impaired callers only) and by email at grants@ncjrs.gov. Refer to funding opportunity: O-NIJ-2025-172321. See the NOFO for additional resources regarding registration and application submission.
