Journal of Forensic Sciences Announces New Associate Editor

I am delighted to announce that the Journal of Forensic Sciences (JFS) has appointed a new Associate Editor (AE), Anna S. Duggar, PhD.
Dr. Anna Duggar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry and the Director of Forensic Chemistry at Loyola University New Orleans and assumed the JFS AE role for Pattern Traces on March 17, 2025. Dr. Duggar is a Member of the JFS Editorial Board and is well qualified to act as the Pattern Traces AE. We are delighted that she has agreed to join the JFS Leadership Team and look forward to her future contributions.

This new AE role was created due to the substantial increase JFS has experienced over the past few years in Trace Evidence submissions, which has now been split into two areas. Dr. Duggar's AE assignments will be focused on Pattern Traces and Dr. Brooke Kammrath's AE assignments will be focused on Material Traces.
AEs were incorporated into the JFS process in 2017 and have played an integral role in the evolution of JFS. It is their dedication and effort that make JFS one of the leading forensic science journals in the world.
Please join me in congratulating Dr. Duggar on her new appointment!
Thank you for your continued support of JFS and its initiatives. For questions, please contact JFS Managing Editor Brenda Peat at bpeat@aafs.org.
