Forensic Sciences Foundation’s 2024 “Emerging Forensic Scientist Award” Winners Announced

The 25th Annual Forensic Sciences Foundation (FSF) Emerging Forensic Scientist Award (EFSA) paper competition was hosted in Denver, CO.  The following presenters were selected as the 2024 recipients by the panel of judges:

  • Sydney Q. Chizmeshya, BA, was selected for the presentation, "The Impacts of Chronic Opioid Exposure on Bone Biomechanical Parameters"
  • Megan F. McGuire, was selected for the presentation, "Producing Datasets: Capturing Images on Multi-Camera Smart Phones for Source Camera Identification"
  • Enrica Macorano, MD, was selected for the presentation, "Compressed Baby Head": A New "Abusive Head Trauma" Entity?"

Congratulations to all of the recipients!  Each will receive up to $1,375 to assist with travel costs associated with attending 77th Annual Scientific Conference in Baltimore, MD.
