The Forensic Science Education Programs Accreditation Commission (FEPAC) is pleased to be officially recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

At its meeting on January 29, 2024, the  Board of Directors reviewed the recommendation of the CHEA Committee on Recognition regarding the recognition application submitted by the American Academy of Forensic Sciences Forensic Science Education Programs Accreditation Commission (AAFS-FEPAC). The Board of Directors accepted the Committee recommendation and recognized AAFS-FEPAC for the following recognized scope of accreditation:

FEPAC accredits forensic science education programs that lead to a bachelor's or master's degree in forensic science or in a natural science with a forensic science concentration in the United States and internationally. FEPAC will also accredit bachelor's or master's programs with a digital evidence concentration. (2015)

CHEA represents the highest standard for professional organizations that review and accredit programs. Participation in this process encourages both continued improvement and accountability to the public and validates FEPAC's program review process.
