I'm thrilled to share some exciting news with all of you! After years of hard work on the documentary by producer/director/writer Mr. Ben Hethcoat, "Coroner to the Stars" will have its World Premiere at the Slamdance Film Festival in February 2025. The premiere will take place at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles

On a personal note, I did my fellowship in forensic pathology under Dr. Noguchi's mentorship in 1977 and later was his staff member. He strongly supported my desire to complete further training in clinical medicine and infectious diseases in New York City with a leave of absence from the County from 1980 for two years. The goal was to start a clinical forensic medicine program at the County's Medical Examiner-Coroner's Department. During my tenure as chief medical examiner-coroner, in addition to always being my mentor, he became my colleague, a very good friend, and an elder brother/father figure to me. I call him "Papa -Sir."
