ABC Seeking Drug Analysis Experts to Assist With the Development of a New Examination
The American Board of Criminalistics (ABC) is committed to developing competency-based certification examinations. We are ready to begin the development of a new seized drugs analysis examination. To begin this process, we need the help of expert practitioners in identifying the competencies required to be successful as a Seized Drug Analyst.
At the Clandestine Laboratory Investigating Chemists Association (CLIC) Annual Meeting in Houston, TX, ABC will be conducting a Job/Task Analysis for Seized Drug Analyst (or any other equivalent title). ABC is seeking Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from the United States who spend most of their work time conducting seized drug analysis casework. As part of our panel, you'll have an opportunity to mold the content that will be on the future seized drugs examination. You do not need to be ABC certified to participate in the panel and your participation will not exclude you for sitting for any ABC exams. If you are ABC certified and participate as a panelist, you will receive three (3) recertification points for your participation!
This panel will be conducted on September 4th and 5th, 2022, at the Hyatt Regency Houston. ABC will cover two nights in the hotel and per diem for your participation. If you can be in Houston on those dates and are interested in participating in the Job/Task analysis, please fill out the survey below. In this survey, the ABC will be asking several demographic questions. Your responses to these questions will be kept confidential and will help us choose a diverse panel that represents the Seized Drugs community as a whole.
